USE THE PEN WITHIN 5 MONTHS!

Your pen performs spectacularly for at least FIVE months, then the special gel ink may start to dry out.

We suggest that you always put the cap firmly back on if you are not using the pen. Unlike other pens, such as writing pens, you can’t leave this special pen sitting around uncapped. It is also helpful to store the pen pointed end down.

Order refills only when you run out, so you always have an ultra-fresh fabric marking pen!! :-)

Important:

• Always test these pens on scraps of ALL fabrics you will be using in your quilt as ghost marks can appear on some fabrics after ironing.

• If you accidentally forget to test and this happens (we did occasionally) then the product we recommend to make the marks disappear is Amodex®.

1. Select the mat size that fits your task — mini for small pieces or table‑side pressing, standard for general work, large for full quilt surfaces.

2. Place the mat on a flat, heat‑resistant surface. If you’re using steam, put a protective barrier under the mat to protect the table.

3. Lay your fabric piece on the mat and smooth it out. You may pin it in place because wool holds fabric firmly.

4. Press with your iron as you normally would — the wool absorbs heat and radiates it back into your fabric, giving you pressing from both sides.

The mat is made up of two parts, the top red cutting mat and the soft, black bottom, through which the rotating mechanism comes through.

Rotating (mat is unlocked): Put your fingers in the holes of the turning mechanism’s two sliders and slide them toward the center of the mechanism. This will give you a round shape to the mechanism. The mat and base are now unattached allowing the mat to rotate freely 360 degrees.

How to thread a sewing machine needle with the Needle Threader

Just place the thread from right to left through the slit in the threader (1) , slide the threader down the needle (2) until the pin pushes the thread through the needle eye (3). Gently pull the thread away from the needle (4). The hook on the threader can then be used to pull the thread completely through (5).

If you need to clean your bag, you can dust out the inside. And if necessary, use a damp or soapy cloth to clean the plastic…just make sure to dry the bag thoroughly before putting it away or using it again.

Just like with our Heat Erasable Fabric Marking Pens, these refills have small, accurate writing points that leave a thin yet nicely visible line and work extraordinarily well on nearly all fabrics. We recommend storing Heat Erasable Pens and Refills tip down when not in use. 

Create your lines and when finished sewing, etc., just use a hot iron to iron over the marks and make the ink disappear. There’s no need to pre-treat and launder fabric to remove ghost lines. 

USE YOUR PENS WITHIN 5 MONTHS: the pens write with a terrific, high-tech sort of gel which disappears with heat, making them the best fabric markers you’ll ever have. This comes at a price, though, as the special gel ink doesn’t stay fresh forever. Your pens will do their phenomenal thing for a minimum of 5 months, yet then they may start drying out.

This Lighted Seam Ripper has a built-in LED light on the head that illuminates the sharp tip of the seam ripper to make sure you can see those unwanted stitches clearly and unpick them fast and accurately. With this extra light, you can now easily grab the tiniest stitches in your sewing or quilting project.
