When? 8 August, 2020, 3 PM EST
Where? Facebook Live on MadamSew's Page

If you’re new to sew alongs, you’re in for a treat! They’re so much fun! Not only do you have the opportunity to get handy tips and tricks from the host, but you can learn these in the comfort of your own home at a time that suits you (sewing in your pj’s and dressing gown is allowed :-)) You can learn from others taking part in the sewalong and you can share what you know with those taking part - you can do all this by posting comments on the live feed!

You gather the material and tools, print the free pattern, prepare your sewing machine and have your phone or tablet at hand to tune in to the Facebook Live. The host will walk you through each step of making this project and you can ask questions at any time.

Join us on our Facebook Live at MadamSew’s page, have a chat with fellow makers, and keep busy with some fun projects whilst we’re all at home. We’ll be indulging in our favourite hobby, talking all things sewing!

Let’s meet the host!

Hey there! My name is Heather, and I’ve been called Heather Feather since childhood. I’m a wife, mother, and a seamstress.

I love to sew and I love my family. I sew my own clothing, I teach others how to sew, and I’m a self-proclaimed fabric fondler.

What will we be making? These adorable reversible fabric baskets!

There are some things that you can never seem to get enough of – scarves, purses, shoes, and baskets. In order to not blow your budget, you can now learn how to sew your own. This basket is perfect for holding all of your knick knacks, while displaying your favorite fabrics. The best part? It is completely machine washable, and when you get tired of it – all you have to do is flip it inside out for a completely new look! The basket is easy to sew, and will make a nice addition to your home decor!
