The Quilters Organisation Kit

A tidy sewing space isn't just satisfying — it's faster. When your fabrics, patterns, notions, and finished quilts all have a place, you spend less time hunting and more time making. The Quilter's Organisation Kit brings together four of Madam Sew's best storage solutions to cover every stage of that journey.

You get a large see-through Project Bag for works-in-progress, the Carry-All Multi-pocket Binder Bag for patterns and tools, a 6-Pack of Binder Pockets to slot inside the binder bag and sort by project, and a Quilt Storage Bag to protect finished quilts in the closet or on the shelf.

Together they organise your space from the cutting table to the completed quilt — at home, at retreats, and everywhere in between.

Why You'll Love It

• One Bag Per Project, Everything Visible — The clear-mesh Project Bag holds all fabric, patterns, notions, and tools for a single project in two pockets, so you can grab it and go without searching. The transparent design means you see everything at a glance without opening a single zip.
• Your Patterns and Tools, All in One Bag — The Carry-All Binder Bag combines a 1" 3-ring binder with 7 built-in zip-close pockets, so your patterns stay with your tools — no more separate boxes and folders for the same project.
• Six Pockets, Six Projects, Zero Confusion — The Binder Pocket 6-Pack slots straight into the Binder Bag's 3-ring binder. Each see-through pocket holds pattern pieces, instructions, fabric swatches, and small notions for a single project, with coloured tabs for instant identification.
• Protect What You've Made — The Quilt Storage Bag keeps finished quilts clean, dust-free, and safely stored with breathable fabric, a transparent front panel for easy identification, and a strong double zipper. It fits two double-size quilts and folds flat when empty.
• A Complete Storage System, Not Just Bags — This bundle covers every storage need a quilter has: active WIPs, pattern management, tool organisation, and finished quilt storage — so your whole creative space finally works the way it should.

1. Set up your Binder Bag as your project control centre. Place your tools and notions in the 7 built-in zip pockets — scissors, seam ripper, clips, markers, and other frequently used items each get a dedicated pocket. Insert the BP6 Binder Pockets into the 3-ring binder.
2. Assign one Binder Pocket per active project. Fill each pocket with the pattern pieces, cutting instructions, fabric swatches, and small notions for that project. Use the coloured tabs to label each pocket — by project name, due date, or status (e.g., cutting, piecing, quilting, binding).
3. Load your Project Bag for today's work. Take the fabric, quilt blocks, and pattern for your current project and fill the large back pocket. Place your tools and reference materials in the smaller front pocket. Slot the project information card into the front card slot — use pencil so you can update it as the project progresses.
4. Take the Project Bag wherever you're sewing. Hang it on a hook, drape it over a chair, or carry it to a class or retreat. Everything you need for that one project travels with you — nothing gets left behind or mixed with another project.
5. Store finished quilts in the Quilt Storage Bag. Fold your finished quilt and place it inside the bag. Zip shut with the double zipper. The transparent front panel lets you identify the quilt without opening the bag — label it if you have multiple storage bags on a shelf or in a closet.
6. Keep the system running between projects. When one project finishes, update the Binder Pocket, clear the Project Bag, and use the empty pocket for the next WIP. The whole system resets in minutes.
