Madam Sew Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Madam Sew is operated by STARGAU LLC, 1050 E Flamingo Road, Suite 107-2096, Las Vegas, NV 89119, USA ("Madam Sew", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit madamsew.com, shop with us, chat with us or sign up for our emails and texts, and what we do with it. Our store is intended for customers in the United States.

2. Information we collect

• Identifiers: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, IP address, cookie and device IDs.
• Order information: products bought, order history, returns, gift and discount use.
• Payment information: card details are processed by Shopify and our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
• Internet and device activity: pages and products viewed, clicks, scrolls, time on page, referring site, browser and device type, approximate location based on IP address.
• Communications: chat messages, emails, calls, reviews and survey answers.
• Marketing preferences: email and text subscription status and privacy choices.
• Inferences: likely product interests, based on the information above.

We collect this information directly from you, automatically from your device when you use our site, and from our service providers and advertising partners. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as health, financial account or government ID data. Please do not share it in chat or email.

3. Cookies, pixels and similar tools

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags and scripts on our site. They fall into these groups:

• Strictly necessary: run the store, including cart, checkout, security, fraud prevention, free-gift and bundle features and accessibility tools (for example Shopify, EasyGift, Fast Bundle, Accessibly).
• Analytics and site improvement: measure traffic and how the site is used, run tests and record sessions, see section 4 (for example Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Triple Whale, Intelligems).
• Advertising: measure our ads and show you Madam Sew ads on other websites and apps, based on your activity on our site (for example Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, Pinterest and Microsoft Bing).
• Marketing messages: sign-up forms and pop-ups, and recognizing returning subscribers (for example Attentive and ConvertFlow).

When these tools run, the provider receives information such as your IP address, the page you are on, the referring page, your browser and device details and cookie IDs. Some providers, such as Meta and Google, may also use this information for their own purposes under their own privacy policies.

You can opt out of advertising uses at any time through the Your Privacy Choices link at the bottom of every page (madamsew.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out), or by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser (see section 8). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work without strictly necessary cookies.

4. Session recording

We use Microsoft Clarity to record how visitors use our site, including mouse movements, clicks, scrolls and page changes. We use these recordings to find and fix problems and improve the site. Checkout is handled by Shopify and is not recorded, and we do not use these recordings to collect payment card details. Microsoft processes this data for us and under its own terms.

5. Live chat

Our chat is provided by a service provider (Commslayer). It may be answered by our team, our customer service agency or an automated assistant. Chat conversations are recorded and stored so we can answer you, keep records and improve our service. By using the chat, you agree to this. If you prefer, email hello@madamsew.com instead.

6. Email and text messages

If you sign up, we send marketing emails and texts through our providers, including Attentive. Text messages are sent only with your express consent. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts, or use the unsubscribe link in any email. We may still send you messages about your orders.

7. How we use and share your information

We use your information to process orders, payments, shipping, returns and free gifts; to provide customer service; to run, secure and improve our site; to send marketing emails and texts you signed up for; to measure and show ads, including ads based on your activity on our site ("cross-context behavioral advertising"); to prevent fraud; and to meet legal, tax and accounting duties.

We share it with:

• Service providers who work for us under contract: our store platform (Shopify), payment, shipping and fulfillment providers, our customer service agency and chat provider, email and SMS providers, analytics and hosting providers.
• Advertising partners such as Meta, Google, Pinterest and Microsoft. Under some US state laws this counts as "selling" or "sharing" personal information, even though no money changes hands. You can opt out (section 8).
• Shopify, which hosts our store and may use some information for its own services, such as Shop Pay, as described in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy (shopify.com/legal/privacy/app-users).
• Authorities and others when required by law, or to protect our rights, customers or others.
• A buyer or successor if our business is sold or merged.

We do not sell personal information for money.

8. Your US privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and other states with privacy laws, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and get a copy of it
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions
• Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information and of targeted advertising
• Appeal if we refuse your request, where your state provides this right
• Not be treated differently for using these rights

How to opt out. Use the Your Privacy Choices page (madamsew.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out), or turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. We treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out request for that browser and device, and for your account if we can link them.

Other requests. Email hello@madamsew.com with the subject "Privacy request", or call 1-844-284-5336. We verify your identity by matching information we already hold, and we answer within 45 days, or as required by your state's law. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission. To appeal a decision, reply to our answer with the subject "Privacy appeal".

Disclosures in the last 12 months. We collected the categories listed in section 2. We disclosed identifiers, order information and internet activity to service providers for business purposes, and identifiers and internet activity to advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

9. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Order and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require. Account information is kept while your account is open. Chat and email records are kept as long as needed to handle your request, resolve disputes and keep business records. Session recordings are kept for the period set by Microsoft Clarity. Marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only what we need to respect your choice. We then delete or anonymize it.

10. Security, children and other websites

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no system is fully secure. Our site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. Links to other websites are governed by their own privacy policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any update on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and notify you of material changes where the law requires it.
