The MadamSew Precision Iron is a very slim and lightweight iron with a small spade tip and a little stand to hold the hot iron when it is not in use.

This precision iron is designed to iron small and difficult parts right next to your sewing machine. The tip is ideal for seams, fusible bias tape, applique, patchwork, doll making, paper crafting, quilting, hard to reach corners, sleeve seams, and curved seams. It allows you to work very accurately.  The small size makes that you can use it next to your sewing machine which removes the time-consuming burden of going to the ironing board every time you need to press.

  • It is small, compact, easy to carry around, and has an ergonomic design.
  • Easy to use right next to your sewing machine, no need to go back and forth to your ironing board.
  • The iron has a big handle with an on/off button, 3 temperature settings, and is fitted with a US Plug (max. 110 V).
  • The electrical cord is 91 inches long.
  • The Precision Iron only takes a few minutes to heat up.

A must for every embroiderer, sewer and quilter!

A good iron is essential for any sewer and quilter. It will ultimately determine whether your finished product will look pristine and beautiful, or rugged and sloppy. It doesn’t matter how beautiful your quilt designs are, how expensive your fabrics are, or even how intricate your stitches are – your creation will never be able to live up to its full potential without the clean, crisp edges you’ll be able to achieve with the precision iron.

Regular irons can be heavy and burdensome, and the shape of a standard iron is not ideal for pressing seams or creating bias tape, tight hems, and other items that require you to work with small pieces. Nobody likes to burn their fingers ironing double folded bias tape, and nobody wants to feel sore after ironing with a bulky piece of equipment. When it comes to quilting, conventional irons don’t always do the trick. They especially fall short when working with tight spaces and intricate designs. Imagine how much simpler piecing and ironing those ¼ inch seam allowances will be with this tool! The precision iron surely will become a mainstay in every quilter and sewer’s repertoire!

Precision iron

I used my precision iron for the first time today. It’s been sitting there waiting for a few weeks. It worked perfectly for pressing open seams. My only disappointment is the the stand doesn’t work well. The iron wants to roll off.
