This sewing ruler is a 6 inch long aluminum gauge with a red sliding guide. Use it to quickly and consistently measure short spaces when sewing or quilting. Measuring correctly can have an enormous impact on the look of any sewing project!

You can set the measurement with the spacer and easily and quickly measure ⅝”, ¼” or ¾” hems or seam allowances. Long tape measures can easily get in the way when making these short measurements. The risk of making mistakes is much greater with regular sewing or quilting rulers. The set plastic spacer is a life saver here!

Extra Features

• There are 3 little holes to secure the gauge or the slider with a pin.

• Use the hole in the upper left corner to pivot the ruler to use is as a compass to trace a circle or a curve.

• The point at the upper left corner also helps to turn points and press them out.

• Both columns are designed with useful marking widths. The “inch” column is exactly ¼ inch wide and the “centimeter” column is ⅜ inch wide – great for a quick check or marking line. The inch side of the gauge has 5 notches, one at every inch, to make marking even easier.

The red plastic guide on this measuring gauge is adjustable, but stays in place for repeated marking. Simply lift the gauge up and down to check your measurements along a hem or seam.
