See It In Action
Real sewists and quilters sharing their experience
More projects than tables? Same.
Hear it from quilters who don't write reviews for everything.

"These bags are well crafted. I put all five into use and decluttered my sewing room. The bins are now freed up for better use and my projects will get completed sooner because I can see them clearly."

"Sturdy project bag. Ordered 8, 4 for me, 4 for my quilting partner (daughter). Glad we found these. May order more in future."

"I am just getting back into quilting after many years away from a sewing machine. I already have several projects in mind and have bought materials but was getting confused about what materials were for which project. These bags are keeping me organized while keeping everything visible and easily portable. So glad I found them!"

"I bought a small rack with upper and lower hanging racks. It came with hanging hooks. This keeps my projects organized with all the fabrics needed for each quilt. I've even given some away to friends that quilt and they love them too. I honestly don't know how many I've bought, but I would say I have at least 40+."

"I've taken my projects that were in totes and put them in individual bags with their pattern. The bags are hanging in the closet on plastic clothes hangers so now I know what projects I have to make. Forgot about some of the projects that I found in the totes 🥰🥰❤️❤️"

"The project bags are fabulous. I store my needlepoint in them. It has a front zip pocket for threads or paperwork and the big section is where I put my canvas and threads. I have bought these before but needed more so ordered 3 more! Love them!!"

"I bought quite a few of these project bags and have shared them with several of the quilt guild members that do lots of charity quilts. We all love them as we often sew at places other than our homes and these bags allow us to keep our projects organized."

We've Got Answers
The large back pocket is 16 × 16 in (40.6 × 40.6 cm) and the small front pocket is 10 × 16 in (25.4 × 40.6 cm). One customer uses them for needlepoint, because her canvas backing boards are sixteen inches square and nothing else she tried would take them flat.
No. They are flat, like a strong envelope with a handle. There is no gusset in the bottom, so fabric settles into the bottom rather than standing square. If you need to carry bulky yarn or ten yards of backing, these are the wrong bag and we would rather tell you now.
A quilt's worth of cut pieces, a pattern and thread, yes, comfortably. A finished quilt top plus ten yards of backing, no. Each bag is made for the fabric, pattern and thread of one project.
Madam Sew red. It is the only color in stock right now, and every pack on this page is all red.
Writing down what the project is. Several customers use it for a deadline too, which is either useful or alarming depending on the week. Use a pencil on the two sided card, so you can update it when you start your next project.
Yes. They hang from a hook, a hanger, a doorknob or a closet rail. They also stand on a shelf next to each other like books.
Yes. The more bags in the pack, the lower the price per bag. The pack options above always show today's prices.
Orders ship from our US warehouse, usually within 1 to 2 business days. The 6 pack and 9 pack ship free automatically, with no code needed. Other orders ship free once they reach $60.
The bag is a durable, tear resistant, waterproof mesh PVC. The handles and binding are nylon fabric, and the zipper is nylon and metal. To clean one, dust out the inside. For a deeper clean, wipe the plastic with a damp or soapy cloth and dry the bag thoroughly before you use it again.
Email hello@madamsew.com or call 1 844 284 5336 and we will replace it. A handful of customers have had a cut handle or a zipper pull come off, and every one of those is a replacement, not a discussion.
Every Madam Sew order is covered by our return policy, and you have 60 days. Try the bags with your real projects, and if they are not right for you, we will make it right. Email us at hello@madamsew.com or call 1 844 284 5336.
