1. Set up the ruler holder. Place it on your sewing table or shelf within easy reach of your cutting area. Slide each ruler and template into its own slot, upright and visible.
2. Apply Non-Slip Rings to any ruler that needs better grip. Peel the adhesive backing and press the transparent rings onto the back corners and center of any ruler or template — including older or non-Madam Sew rulers that came without anti-slip coating.
3. Attach the Ruler Grip when you need to move or lift a ruler. Press the suction cup firmly onto a flat, smooth section of the ruler. The grip locks on, giving you a proper handle to lift, carry, and reposition the ruler in one motion.
4. Select the 6×24 ruler from the holder for strip cutting. Lay your folded fabric on your cutting mat, position the ruler using the grid markings for your required strip width, and cut along the edge with a rotary cutter.
5. Reposition with confidence. Whether using the 6×24 ruler or any other ruler upgraded with Non-Slip Rings, the anti-slip grip holds the ruler in place during the cut while still allowing you to lift and reposition between cuts using the Ruler Grip if attached.
