Pros
- Two separate pockets keep your work organized from the start. One side holds fabric pieces and patterns, the other holds threads, needles, and notions. Everything has a place before you sit down to sew.
- It travels well. The bag hangs on a hook, shapes over a hanger, and tucks into small spaces without any fuss. Good for class, a guild meeting, or just moving from room to room.
- The clear mesh lets you see what is inside without unpacking anything. No more emptying the whole bag to find your scissors.
Cons
- This bag is built flat on purpose. It keeps pieced quilt blocks from shifting during transport, and that is exactly why quilters like it. If you are primarily a knitter working with multiple bulky skeins, you will probably want a deeper bag alongside this one.
- The stiff PVC is a deliberate choice for protecting your projects. If you are used to a soft, foldable tote, this one will feel different in your hands.
- This bag works best as a single-project carrier. If you want to bring fabric, notions, a pattern binder, and multiple works-in-progress all at once, it will not hold everything comfortably.
Keep your sewing, quilting, and other needle work projects organized and ready to go with the Madam Sew Project Bags. Designed for makers who value both function and style, these bags simplify project storage whether you're at home, in class, or on the move.
Smart Storage for Every Maker - Each bag features two pockets designed to neatly hold cut fabric pieces, quilt blocks, patterns, threads, needles, notions, and tools. Say goodbye to clutter and hello to streamlined organization.
Portable & Space-Saving - Perfect for transporting projects between rooms or locations. Hang it from a hook, drape it over a hanger, or a door knob…no bulky boxes required. Ideal for small spaces and mobile creators.
Clear Mesh for Quick Identification - Reinforced see-through mesh lets you see your projects instantly. A front card slot makes it easy to label your projects, keeping everything accessible.
Versatile for Multiple Crafts - Whether you're sewing, quilting, embroidering, or cross-stitching, this bag adapts to your workflow. A must-have for hobbyists and professionals alike.
Available in Stylish Colors - Choose from Madam Sew Red, Light Pink, White, Black, Navy or Lavender at checkout to match your aesthetic or color-code your projects.
Crafted with quilters in mind but loved by embroiderists, and cross-stitchers too, the Madam Sew Project Bag is your go-to solution for creative organization. Elevate your crafting experience with a bag that works as beautifully as your projects do.

If you need to clean your bag, you can dust out the inside. And if necessary, use a damp or soapy cloth to clean the plastic…just make sure to dry the bag thoroughly before putting it away or using it again.
Use a pencil on the two-sided project card so you can update with your next project once this one is done.
If you accidentally used a pen or marker or the project card gets worn or if you just want to keep a record of your project and want a new card for future projects, we have a Project Card pack available. Grab our Maker’s Hang Up Hooks to make hanging your Project Bags easy and quick. Plus, grab our Project Card Holders, so you can put the label on the side for easy visibility.
If you want to try and make a project bag yourself, we have a tutorial on the Madam Sew Sewing Blog. The bag is not this pattern, size, shape or material but it is a fun project with clear instructions!
