Pros
- Cut through four layers of quilting cotton, a denim waistband, or heavy interfacing without switching scissors or stopping to rest your hand. Built specifically for the long cutting sessions that leave your hand aching by the end.
- Cutting curves on applique pieces or working through multiple pattern layers at once. These are the tasks where the blade's continuous action is noticeably faster and cleaner than stopping and repositioning with a rotary cutter.
- The smooth blade action delivers clean, precise results on straight lines, curves, and multiple layers at once. It is measurably faster than a rotary cutter for complex cutting work.
Cons
- These scissors are cordless and electric, so they do produce motor noise. Some customers have found the sound louder than expected. If you are sensitive to noise or share a sewing space with others, that is worth keeping in mind before you buy.
- Right-handed use only. The blade angle is fixed and will not work correctly for left-handed cutting. We hear you on this, and it is something we are actively working to address in a future version.
- The scissors have a solid, sturdy build that contributes to their cutting power. Some makers have found them heavier than a traditional pair. If you are used to lightweight scissors for long cutting sessions, there may be an adjustment period.
