    4.6

Our store is rated 4.6 by thousands of happy customers

$61.45 worth of tools. Yours for $19.99.

Everything you need to start quilting right — nothing you'll need to go back and buy later.

Most new quilters buy tools one at a time — a clip here, a ruler there — and still end up with gaps halfway through their first project. The Starter Kit solves that in one purchase. The seam guide ruler and magnetic guide work as a pair for consistent seam allowances from the first pass. The clips, marking pens, and needle threader handle everything else setup and assembly demands. $61.45 worth of tools that belong together — yours for $19.99.

    • Product Description

Ready to start quilting — or looking for the perfect first Madam Sew purchase? The Quilting Starter Kit puts five of our most useful sewing tools in one bundle, at a price that removes every reason to wait. Everything here was chosen to help new quilters work more accurately, more comfortably, and with a lot less frustration.

You get the tools to set perfect seam allowances, mark and erase fabric lines, hold fabric without pins, thread your needle in seconds, and keep your seams laser-straight — session after session. Each tool is a proven Madam Sew bestseller, now bundled together for Worldwide Quilting Day.

This kit is ideal for anyone starting their first quilt, picking up the hobby again, or gifting a friend who keeps saying she wants to try quilting.

      Why You'll Love It

      • Perfect Seams from Day One — The Seam Guide Ruler and Magnetic Seam Guide work together so you always sew at exactly the right seam allowance — no guessing, no re-measuring, no crooked blocks.
      • Mark It, Then Make It Disappear — The heat erasable pens let you mark seam lines, quilting designs, and dart placements freely, knowing one pass of a hot iron erases every trace — no washing required.
      • No More Pin Pricks — The 50 multicolor sewing clips hold fabric flat and even without a single pin, making binding, hemming, and layering faster and safer on any fabric type.
      • Thread Your Needle in Seconds — The Needle Inserter and Threader does the hard part for you, making it easy even if your vision or hand steadiness makes traditional threading a struggle.
      • Five Tools, One Great Starting Point — This bundle covers the most common beginner frustrations in one purchase: inaccurate seams, hard-to-remove marks, shifting fabric, and threading woes.

      Specifications

      • Features: Raised round teeth for firm grip; flat back and sides to prevent puckering; seam allowance markings on base at ¼", ⅜", and 3/16"
      • Use: Clipping binding, hemming, holding fabric layers; safe alternative to pins on laminate, leather, vinyl, silk, and satin

      3. Heat Erasable Fabric Marking Pens + Refills

      • Use within 5 months of purchase; store tip-down, tightly capped
      • Works on nearly all fabrics — test on scrap first; extra care with non-washable fabrics (e.g., silk)
      • Important note: Marks may return if exposed to temperatures below 32°F/0°C; rare ghost marks can be treated with Amodex®
      • Comes in its own carrying pouch with pocket-clip pen caps

      4. Magnetic Seam Guide

      • Material: Steel with strong embedded magnet
      • Attaches to: Metal needle plate/throat plate of sewing machines
      • Use: Set desired seam allowance width; guide fabric edge against the guide while sewing for consistent, straight seams
      • Best suited for seam allowances of ¼" and wider; requires at least 1.5" of clear metal throat plate surface
      • Note: Will not adhere to plastic needle plates

      5. Needle Inserter and Threader for Sewing Machines

      • Material: Plastic
      • Length: 3 inches
      • Weight: 0.18 oz
      • Two-function tool: One end threads the needle (pin pushes thread through needle eye); opposite end is a needle inserter (tiny hole holds needle for easy insertion into machine)
      • Compatible with: Sewing machine needles size 70/11 and larger; also works with serger and overlocking machine needles; double needles
      • Includes printed user instructions

      How to Use:

      1. Set your seam allowance with the Seam Guide Ruler. Place the ruler on your machine's needle plate under the presser foot. Lower your needle into the hole matching your desired seam allowance (e.g., ¼"). Press the Magnetic Seam Guide against the ruler on the needle plate. Remove the ruler — the magnet stays in place as your fabric guide.
      2. Mark your fabric with the heat erasable pens. Choose your pen color (white for dark fabrics; red, blue, or black for light fabrics). Write seam lines, quilting designs, or placement marks directly on your fabric. Allow white ink a few seconds to become visible. Store pens tip-down and tightly capped when not in use.
      3. Clip your fabric layers into place. Push a sewing clip wide open and place it along the edge of your fabric — just as you would a pin, but without the prick. Use the seam allowance markings on the clip base to position clips consistently for hemming and binding.
      4. Thread your sewing machine needle. Slide your thread from right to left through the slit in the Needle Threader. Slide the threader down the needle until the pin pushes the thread through the eye. Use the small hook to pull the thread all the way through. Works best with needle sizes 70/11 and larger.
      5. Insert a new needle when needed. Use the needle inserter end of the threader tool — place the needle into the small hole and guide it into the machine's needle clamp without touching the sharp tip.
      6. Sew with the Magnetic Seam Guide in place. Guide your fabric edge along the magnetic guide as you sew. It holds firmly on the metal needle plate and won't shift mid-seam.
      7. Erase your marks when done. Heat your iron to at least 180°F/80°C and press over any marked areas. Marks disappear completely with heat — no washing needed.
    • Specifications

      • Size: 9” x 11” x ½” thick

      • Material: 100% Felted New Zealand Wool

      • Includes: Clear reusable vinyl storage pouch with snap buttons

      • Use For: Sewing, quilting, applique, embroidery, patchwork

      • Care Note: Use on a protected surface; steam may pass through the mat.

    • Instructions & More

Select the mat size that fits your task — mini for small pieces or table‑side pressing, standard for general work, large for full quilt surfaces.

Place the mat on a flat, heat‑resistant surface. If you’re using steam, put a protective barrier under the mat to protect the table.

Lay your fabric piece on the mat and smooth it out. You may pin it in place because wool holds fabric firmly.

Press with your iron as you normally would — the wool absorbs heat and radiates it back into your fabric, giving you pressing from both sides.

Switch mats as your project changes: use the mini at the machine, standard for blocks, large for full pieces.

After use, store flat or roll loosely. Avoid folding permanently to maintain flatness.

    4.6

Our store is rated 4.6 by thousands of happy customers

Mark, stamp, sign. The complete marking toolkit.

For quilters who take pride in every stitch — and want every seam, line, and signature to show it.

Precise quilting requires two different kinds of marking: lines you need temporarily while you work, and a signature that stays forever. This kit covers both.

Heat erasable pens and chalk markers for working lines that disappear on command. A fabric stamp and permanent ink pad for the finished piece. Buying these separately means mismatched tools across different jobs — this kit makes your entire marking process intentional, start to finish. $89.95 in tools for $34.99.

Every stitch tells a story — and this bundle gives you every tool to tell it cleanly. The Marking Master Kit brings together five of Madam Sew's best marking tools: two chalk markers (white and yellow) for temporary lines on any fabric, the heat erasable pen set for marks that vanish with iron heat, a Brick Red permanent ink pad, and the "Handmade By" fabric stamp to sign every finished piece as your own.

Whether you're marking quilting lines on dark fabric, tracing a hemline on jersey, or labelling a quilt you're gifting to a grandchild, this kit has you covered from first mark to final signature. No more reaching for the wrong marker, no more stubborn chalk lines that won't come off — just the right tool for the right fabric, every time.

      Why You'll Love It

      • Two Chalk Colours, Every Fabric Covered — White chalk shows crisply on dark and deeply coloured fabrics; yellow shows on medium tones. Both use the Dosing Wheel — a precision-engineered toothed metal wheel that distributes chalk in a fine, consistent line you can draw straight or freehand, without ever sharpening.
      • Mark It, Sew It, Make It Disappear — The heat erasable pen set lets you mark seam lines, quilting designs, appliqué placements, and dart positions freely. When your project is done, one pass of a hot iron erases every trace — no washing needed, no ghost lines.
      • Sign Every Quilt You Make — The "Handmade By" fabric stamp with Brick Red permanent ink creates a professional, wash-fast label with space for your name and date. Applied in seconds, it stays vibrant through years of washing — your signature on every heirloom.
      • Three Marking Methods, One Complete System — Chalk is for temporary lines while sewing and quilting; heat erasable pens are for construction marks and design work; the stamp is for permanent identification. Together they cover every marking need from the first cut to the finished label.
      • Built for Quilters and Garment Sewists Alike — Whether your next project is a cathedral windows quilt, a bias-cut skirt, or a hand-quilted gift, this kit has the right marker for every fabric type, every stage of the project, and every colour of cloth.

      Specifications

      1. Chalk Marker — White

      • Colour: White — high visibility on dark and deeply coloured fabrics
      • Technology: Dosing Wheel — toothed metal wheel at tip distributes powdered chalk evenly as you roll along
      • Lines: Very fine and precise; draws straight and curved lines; wheel moves in both directions
      • Ergonomic design: Recessed tip; comfortable pen-shaped barrel; protective cap keeps wheel safe and chalk contained
      • Suitable fabrics: Cotton, knit, jersey, synthetic fibres, suede, leather; do NOT use on silk or nylon
      • Removal: Rub with hands, soft brush, or damp cloth; wash with plain water. Note: Chalk lines may fade while sewing — avoid moving the project excessively between marking and sewing
      • Refillable: Yes — chalk refills available separately on madamsew.com

      2. Chalk Marker — Yellow

      • Colour: Yellow — visible on medium and light-coloured fabrics; provides contrast on fabrics where white doesn't show as clearly
      • Technology: Same Dosing Wheel technology as white version — identical form factor and mechanics
      • All other specs identical to White Chalk Marker above
      • Refillable: Yes — chalk refills available separately

      3. Heat Erasable Fabric Marking Pens + Refills

      • Quantity: 4 pens (white, black, red, blue) + 4 free refills (1 per colour); comes in carrying pouch with pocket-clip caps
      • Tip: 0.7mm fine point; 0.35mm line width

      • Use on nearly all fabrics; test on scrap first; extra care with silk
      • Store tip-down, tightly capped; use within 5 months of purchase

      4. Permanent Fabric Ink Pad — Brick Red

      • Colour: Brick Red — rich, warm tone for labelling and personalising
      • Dimensions: 4.75" × 3"
      • Ink type: Permanent fabric ink — heat-settable; wash-fast once heat-set with iron
      • Compatible with: All rubber stamps; especially paired with the Madam Sew "Handmade By" Fabric Stamp
      • Best for: Natural fabrics — cotton and linen; test on synthetic fabrics before use
      • Features: Non-smearing, non-bleeding formula; quick-drying; crisp impression
      • Setting method: After stamping and allowing to dry completely, iron on low heat to set permanently
      • Note: Always test on scrap fabric before stamping final project

      5. "Handmade By" Fabric Stamp

      • Dimensions: 3" × 4" (7.6cm × 10.2cm)
      • Construction: Durable wood block with rubber stamp face
      • Design: "Handmade By" text with a blank space to write in name and date
      • Use: Personalise quilts, garments, accessories, tote bags, and any handmade textile project with a permanent, wash-fast label
      • Ink compatibility: Use with the Madam Sew Permanent Fabric Ink Pad (included in this bundle); works with any rubber-stamp-compatible permanent fabric ink
      • Care: Always test on scrap fabric before stamping the final piece; apply even pressure across the full stamp face; lift stamp slowly to avoid smearing
      • Note: The stamp face is sized to work perfectly with the 4.75" × 3" ink pad included in this bundle

      Instructions

      1. Choose your chalk marker for the fabric you're working on. Use white for dark fabrics (navy, black, deep red, charcoal), and yellow for medium tones (natural muslin, grey, light denim). Roll the dosing wheel smoothly and firmly along the fabric surface — with or without a ruler. The line appears immediately and stays crisp while you sew.
      1. Remove chalk marks when done. Rub gently with your fingertip, a soft brush, or a damp cloth. For complete removal, rinse with plain water. Note: chalk lines may fade gradually with handling — mark and sew without too much repositioning between steps. Always test on a scrap piece first.
      1. Use the heat erasable pens for finer marking work. Choose your colour (white for dark fabrics; red, blue, or black for lighter ones). Mark seam lines, quilting designs, dart positions, or appliqué placement directly on the fabric. Marks stay visible until you need them gone, then disappear with a hot iron at 180°F/80°C minimum.
      1. Refill chalk markers and pen cartridges as needed. For chalk markers: unscrew the tip to open the chalk compartment and refill with powdered chalk. For heat erasable pens: unscrew the front tip, remove the spent cartridge, insert a fresh refill, and replace the tip. Store both types tightly capped, pens tip-down.
      1. Stamp your finished project. Wash and iron the fabric area you want to stamp on a hard surface. Press the stamp lightly onto the Brick Red ink pad to evenly coat the stamp face. Position on your fabric, press firmly and evenly across the full stamp surface — do not rock or slide it. Lift the stamp slowly and allow the ink to dry completely.
      1. Heat-set the stamp for permanence. Once dry, iron over the stamped area on low heat to set the ink permanently. After heat-setting, the label will withstand regular washing without fading. Write your name and date in the blank space with a fine permanent marker or a gel pen once set.
      1. Always test first. Every tool in this kit performs differently on different fabrics. Before marking, stamping, or heat-erasing on your finished project, always run a test on a scrap of the same fabric. This is the single most important step for confident, clean results.

    • Product Description

Every quilter reaches a point where the basics click — and the right tools are what get you there. The Quilting Essentials Kit brings together six of Madam Sew's most trusted tools: a 100% wool pressing mat, replacement rotary blades, a seam guide ruler, sewing clips, a ruler grip, and heat erasable marking pens.

Together, they cover the four things you do in every quilting session: press, cut, mark, and hold. No more hunting down tools one by one. This bundle gives you what experienced quilters reach for every time they sit down at the machine.

It's a great next step after the Starter Kit — and an even better gift for an intermediate quilter who's ready to level up.

      Why You'll Love It

      • Crisp Seams Start with the Right Surface — The 100% New Zealand wool pressing mat absorbs and radiates iron heat from both sides at once, giving you noticeably flatter, sharper seams with fewer passes of the iron — something a standard ironing board simply can't replicate.
      • Five Fresh Blades Mean Five Projects of Perfect Cutting — Sharp blades aren't just faster, they're safer. The SKS-7 tungsten steel replacement blades glide through multiple fabric layers, felt, and vinyl without pressing hard or skipping, so you cut accurately every time.
      • Move Your Ruler Without Moving Your Fingers — The Ruler Grip's suction cup attaches firmly to any smooth quilting ruler, letting you reposition it cleanly and keep your fingers well away from the rotary blade — a small tool with a big safety payoff.
      • Set Your Seams. Mark Your Lines. Erase Them Clean. — The Seam Guide Ruler sets accurate seam allowances from ⅛" to 2", while the heat erasable pens let you mark cutting lines, quilting designs, and pivot points freely, then iron them away when you're done.
      • Six Tools That Work Better Together — This is a complete cutting, pressing, marking, and holding system for the serious quilter — each tool designed to support the others throughout your entire project workflow.

      Specifications

      • Use: Pressing seams, quilt blocks, hems, appliqué, patchwork, embroidery; replaces ironing board for tabletop pressing

      6. Heat Erasable Fabric Marking Pens + Refills

      • Quantity: 4 pens (white, black, red, blue) + 4 free refills (1 per color)
      • Tip: 0.7mm fine point; 0.35mm line width
      • Ink type: Heat-erasable gel
      • Erasing method: Iron at minimum 180°F/80°C; or hairdryer/tumble dryer on high heat
      • Use on nearly all fabrics; test on scrap first; extra care with silk
      • Store tip-down, tightly capped; use within 5 months of purchase
      • Comes in carrying pouch with pocket-clip pen caps

      Instructions

      1. Press your seams on the wool mat. Place the mat on a flat, heat-resistant surface near your machine. Press quilt blocks, seams, and hems directly on the mat — the dense wool radiates heat back through your fabric for flat, crisp results with fewer passes. Protect wood surfaces from steam seeping through.
      2. Mark cutting lines and seam positions with the heat erasable pens. Choose your pen color (white for dark fabrics; red, blue, or black for lighter ones). Mark directly on fabric — the lines stay visible as long as you need them. When done, press with a hot iron at 180°F/80°C minimum to erase completely.
      3. Attach the Ruler Grip to your quilting ruler. Clean both the ruler surface and the suction cup with a damp cloth. Pull the grip handles open, press the suction cup firmly onto the ruler, and close the handle to lock. Grip the handle to move the ruler precisely — and to keep your fingers safely away from the blade.
      4. Set your seam allowance with the Seam Guide Ruler. Place it on your needle plate under the presser foot, lower your needle into the hole matching your target seam width, then press the Magnetic Seam Guide against the ruler. Remove the ruler — the magnet stays as your sewing guide.
      5. Clip fabric layers in place. Push sewing clips open wide and place along fabric edges — just as you would a pin, but faster and without the prick. Use the base markings to clip consistently at your chosen seam allowance.
      6. Cut with fresh rotary blades. When your current blade begins to skip or drag, swap in a new 45mm tungsten steel blade: unscrew the center hub, remove the dull blade, insert the new one, and replace the hub. A sharp blade requires far less pressure — and is much safer.
      7. Replace blades and pen cartridges as needed. Keep this bundle working at full capacity by swapping in fresh pen refills (tip-down storage extends their life) and rotating blades before they drag.

Select the mat size that fits your task — mini for small pieces or table‑side pressing, standard for general work, large for full quilt surfaces.

      2. Assign one Binder Pocket per active project. Fill each pocket with the pattern pieces, cutting instructions, fabric swatches, and small notions for that project. Use the coloured tabs to label each pocket — by project name, due date, or status (e.g., cutting, piecing, quilting, binding).
      3. Load your Project Bag for today's work. Take the fabric, quilt blocks, and pattern for your current project and fill the large back pocket. Place your tools and reference materials in the smaller front pocket. Slot the project information card into the front card slot — use pencil so you can update it as the project progresses.
      4. Take the Project Bag wherever you're sewing. Hang it on a hook, drape it over a chair, or carry it to a class or retreat. Everything you need for that one project travels with you — nothing gets left behind or mixed with another project.
      5. Store finished quilts in the Quilt Storage Bag. Fold your finished quilt and place it inside the bag. Zip shut with the double zipper. The transparent front panel lets you identify the quilt without opening the bag — label it if you have multiple storage bags on a shelf or in a closet.
      6. Keep the system running between projects. When one project finishes, update the Binder Pocket, clear the Project Bag, and use the empty pocket for the next WIP. The whole system resets in minutes.

    The Complete Cutting Station

    4.6

Our store is rated 4.6 by thousands of happy customers

Everything you need to cut with confidence.

$116.45 in cutting tools. Yours for $49.99. One purchase — you never have to think about your cutting setup again.

Cutting problems compound. A mat that's warped throws off your measurements. Dull blades mean you push instead of glide, which shifts the fabric. A ruler that slips makes the whole process feel unreliable. The Complete Cutting Station fixes the system, not just the symptom — a precision cutter, sharp replacement blades, a rotating mat that moves so your fabric doesn't have to, a ruler grip that holds your line, and a case to keep everything protected between uses.

    • Product Description

A clean, accurate cut is where every quilt begins — and this bundle gives you everything you need to make it. The Complete Cutting Station pairs the Madam Sew 45mm Rotary Cutter with the Self-Healing Rotating Cutting Mat, five replacement blades, a Ruler Grip, and a hard-body Rotary Cutter Case.

The rotating mat is the difference-maker. Instead of walking around your table or lifting and repositioning fabric mid-cut, you simply spin the mat — your fabric stays exactly in place. Add the ruler grip for firm, safe control of any quilting ruler, five fresh tungsten blades for uninterrupted cutting, and the zippered case to store the whole kit safely between sessions.

This is the bundle Alice reaches for when it is time to cut. One purchase, zero excuses.

      Why You'll Love It

      • Spin the Mat, Not Yourself — The self-healing rotating cutting mat spins a full 360° on a lockable mechanism, so you stay in the right cutting position at all times. No more walking around the table, no more lifted fabric shifting out of alignment — just clean, accurate cuts from every angle.
      • The All-Purpose 45mm Cutter, Done Right — The 45mm is the quilter's go-to size for a reason: large enough to cut multiple fabric layers quickly, nimble enough for curves and corners. The ergonomic, symmetrical handle works for both right and left-handed users, and the sliding safety guard protects when the cutter is not in use.
      • Five Sharp Blades Mean Five Projects of Perfect Cutting — Cutting with a dull blade forces you to press harder, which is where both inaccuracy and injury risk rise. The SKS-7 tungsten steel replacement blades in this bundle keep your cutter performing at its sharpest through every project.
      • Move Your Ruler Safely, Every Time — The Ruler Grip's suction cup attaches firmly to any smooth quilting ruler, keeping your fingers well above the blade while repositioning with precision. It is one of those tools you wonder how you ever cut without.
      • Store It All in One Zippered Case — The hard-body Rotary Cutter Case holds the 45mm cutter, spare blades, and even small tools like scissors or a seam ripper, with dedicated pockets and elastic bands on both sides. Safe between sessions, and compact enough to toss into a project bag for retreats and classes.

      • Colors: Red cutting mat surface; black non-slip base
      • Rotation: 360 degrees; smooth, lockable turning mechanism

      • Use: Trimming and squaring quilt blocks; cutting around templates; general rotary cutting; usable as a standard (non-rotating) cutting mat when locked
      • Construction: Two-part design — red cutting mat on top; black soft base below with the rotating mechanism running through
      • Unlocking: Slide the two turning mechanism sliders toward the center — mat rotates freely
      • Locking: Slide sliders outward into the base notches — mat is fixed in place
      • Online manual and YouTube video available at madamsew.com

      4. Ruler Grip — Ruler Handle with Suction Cup

      • Material: Plastic handle; rubber suction cup
      • Dimensions: Suction cup diameter 2¼"; handle height 2½"
      • Features: Locking handle mechanism; attaches to and removes from any smooth ruler; stores flat in unlocked position
      • Use: Safe grip while rotary cutting; keeps fingers well above blade; easy, precise ruler repositioning
      • Note: Requires clean ruler surface for suction; does not attach to slotted rulers

      5. Rotary Cutter Case

      • Construction: Durable hard-body exterior; zippered closure
      • Capacity: Fits 28–60mm rotary cutters; two internal pockets with elastic bands
        • Larger pocket: holds the rotary cutter (secured by elastic band)
        • Smaller pocket: holds spare blades, small scissors, or small tools such as tweezers or a sewing stiletto
      • Use: Safe storage and transport for the rotary cutter between sessions; compact enough to fit inside a project bag
      • Safety note: Place cutter in the larger pocket with the blade guard engaged; do not grab the cutter by the blade area when loading

      Instructions

      1. Set up the rotating mat on your cutting surface. Place it on a flat, stable table. The non-slip base holds it firmly in place. Leave it in locked position (sliders outward) to start — it behaves like a standard cutting mat.
      1. Attach the Ruler Grip to your quilting ruler. Wipe both the ruler surface and suction cup with a clean, dry cloth. Pull the handle open, press the suction cup firmly onto the ruler, and lock the handle. Your ruler is now safe to grip and position without placing fingers near the blade path.
      1. Make your first cuts standing up. Align your ruler on the fabric using the mat's grid lines. With the Ruler Grip holding the ruler steady, roll the 45mm cutter firmly away from your body in one smooth pass. Use the blade guard when the cutter is not actively in the cut.
      1. Spin the mat to reach any angle without moving the fabric. When you need to cut at a different angle or from a different side, slide the mat's sliders inward to unlock it, spin to your new position, and lock again. The fabric stays exactly where you placed it.
      1. Trim and square up blocks. Use the mat's 30°, 45°, and 60° bias lines and the ⅛"–1" grid to trim half-square triangles, square up blocks, and cut binding strips — all without a separate measuring ruler for common dimensions.
      1. Replace blades as soon as cuts start skipping or dragging. Unscrew the center hub, swap in a fresh 45mm tungsten blade, and replace the hub. A sharp blade is safer than a dull one — never wait until the blade is completely worn out.
      1. Store the cutter and blades in the case after every session. Engage the blade guard, place the cutter in the larger case pocket with the elastic band securing it, and store spare blades in the smaller pocket. Zip shut. The whole kit fits inside a project bag for classes or retreats.

The Muffling Mat absorbs vibration and cuts machine noise dramatically. The Pedal Mat keeps your foot pedal exactly where you placed it. • Product Description

Your sewing table does a lot of work. This bundle makes sure it works quietly, stays stable, and presses beautifully. The Pressing & Comfort Station brings together four mats that transform your quilting setup from noisy and slippery to calm, steady, and professional.

You get both wool pressing mats — the standard 17" × 13.5" for blocks at the machine and the extra large 17" × 24" for longer hems and full quilt sections — plus the Muffling Mat to stop your machine from vibrating and walking across the table, and the Pedal Mat to keep your foot pedal exactly where your foot expects it.

It's the bundle that handles everything happening below the needle and beside the iron — so you can focus entirely on what's happening in between.

      Why You'll Love This

      • Two Pressing Surfaces, Every Project Size Covered — The standard 17" × 13.5" wool mat sits at your machine for quick seam pressing, while the extra large 17" × 24" mat handles long hems, jelly rolls, and full quilt sections. Both press from both sides at once with 100% New Zealand wool — no ironing board needed.
      • Stop Your Machine from Walking Across the Table — The TPE rubber Muffling Mat goes under your sewing, embroidery, or serger machine and absorbs vibrations before they reach the table. Your machine stays put, the noise drops, and your work surface is protected from scratches.
      • No More Chasing Your Foot Pedal — The Pedal Mat keeps your foot pedal right where you placed it, on nearly any floor surface. No more breaking your rhythm to look under the table and reposition it mid-seam.
      • A Quieter, Calmer Sewing Space — Together, the two rubber mats reduce machine noise and movement dramatically, letting you sew at retreats, in shared spaces, or late in the evening without disturbing anyone — or losing focus yourself.
      • Four Mats, One Complete Workspace Upgrade — This bundle addresses four of the most common sewing table frustrations — uneven pressing, machine creep, vibration noise, and a runaway pedal — with purpose-built solutions for each one.

      Specifications

      1. Extra Large Wool Pressing Mat

      • Material: 100% felted New Zealand wool
      • Size: 17" × 24"
      • Thickness: Approx. ½"
      • Features: Naturally fire-resistant; presses both sides of fabric simultaneously for crisp, flat results; textured surface grips fabric to prevent stretching
      • Use: Full quilt sections, jelly rolls, curtain and skirt hems, large panels, patchwork, appliqué, embroidery
      • Includes: Reusable transparent vinyl storage pouch with snap closure
      • Care: Blot stains with white vinegar solution (¼ cup vinegar + 2 cups lukewarm water); do not machine wash; natural wool may have slight odor when wet (normal)
      • Note: Steam and moisture may seep through mat — protect wood or delicate surfaces underneath

      2. Wool Pressing Mat

      • Material: 100% felted New Zealand wool
      • Size: 17" × 13.5"
      • Thickness: Approx. ½"
      • Features: Same pressing properties as the XL mat; compact size ideal for use right at the sewing machine; textured surface grips fabric
      • Use: Quilt blocks, seams, hems, patchwork; perfect at-machine pressing surface for day-to-day quilting
      • Includes: Reusable transparent vinyl storage pouch with snap closure
      • Care: Same as XL mat above

      3. Sewing Machine Muffling Mat

      • Material: TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) rubber
      • Size: 15" × 20"
      • Thickness: 0.3" (8mm)
      • Color: Teal/blue-green (Madam Sew branded)
      • Surface: Logo side up; wavy/grooved side faces down to grip work surface
      • Features: Absorbs machine vibrations; reduces noise and movement; protects work surface from scratches and scuffs; fits under most household sewing, embroidery, and serger machines
      • Use: Place under machine on any work surface — table, desk, or countertop
      • Note: Reduces vibration and movement significantly but does not eliminate all machine noise; for very heavy machines or extremely slippery surfaces, results may vary
      • Care: Wash with soap and water; air or towel dry completely before use; do not leave in direct sunlight

      4. Sewing Machine Pedal Mat

      • Material: TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) rubber
      • Size: 7" × 10"
      • Thickness: 0.3" (8mm)
      • Surface: Logo side up; wavy/grooved side faces down
      • Features: Keeps foot pedal from sliding during use; protects flooring from scratches; lightweight and portable; repositionable with foot without crawling under table
      • Compatible with: Most sewing machine, serger, and embroidery machine foot pedals on wood, parquet, laminate, vinyl, linoleum, stone, tile, and textile flooring
      • Note: Mat is designed to allow slight repositioning with the foot — this is intentional. For very slippery flooring, Madam Sew Non-Slip Adhesive Rings can be added to the underside for extra grip
      • Care: Wash with soap and water; air or towel dry completely; do not leave in direct sunlight

      Instructions

      1. Set up the Muffling Mat first. Clean your table surface, then place the Muffling Mat logo side up, wavy side down, in the center of your work area. Center your sewing, embroidery, or serger machine on top. Your machine should now sit firmly without rocking or creeping — even at high speeds.
      2. Place the Pedal Mat on the floor. Put the Pedal Mat logo side up, wavy side down, where your foot naturally rests when sewing. Place your foot pedal on top. You can nudge the mat into position with your foot at any time — no need to bend down or reattach anything.
      3. Choose your pressing mat for the task. Use the standard 17" × 13.5" mat right at your sewing machine for pressing individual quilt blocks and seams as you work. Use the extra large 17" × 24" mat for longer projects — jelly roll strips, skirt hems, curtain panels, or full quilt sections.
      4. Press seams and blocks on the wool mat. Place your block or fabric on the mat, wrong or right side up as needed. Press with your iron — the dense wool absorbs and radiates heat back through the fabric for flat, crisp seams in fewer passes. Protect wood or delicate surfaces from steam seeping through.
      5. Store your mats properly. Roll or lay the wool pressing mats flat in their vinyl storage pouches when not in use. Store the rubber mats flat, away from direct sunlight to preserve the TPE material.
      6. Clean as needed. Blot wool mats with a white vinegar solution for stains; do not machine wash. Wash rubber mats with soap and water; towel or air dry completely before using again.

      • See Every Stitch, Miss Nothing — The 24-LED dimmable light strip attaches to any sewing machine in minutes and casts shadow-free light directly over your work area, so you catch every misaligned seam and imperfect stitch before it becomes a problem.
      • Press Like a Professional — On Your Table, Not Your Ironing Board — The extra large 17" × 24" wool pressing mat gives you room to press full quilt sections, jelly rolls, and long hems flat, with 100% New Zealand wool absorbing and radiating heat from both sides at once for results you can't get on a standard surface.
      • Mark Your Seams for Half-Square Triangles in Seconds — The exclusive Madam Sew Quarter Inch Patchwork Ruler Set (9" and 17" rulers) lets you mark precise ¼" sewing lines for HSTs, hourglass units, flying geese, and snowball blocks without measuring — just place, mark, and sew.
      • Hold Every Layer — Small and Large — The multicolor sewing clips handle binding, hems, and small fabric edges; the jumbo quilting clamps secure full quilt rolls, quilt sandwiches, and large-scale projects to frames or tables. Together they cover every holding need from first block to finished quilt.
      • Ten Tools. One Complete Quilting System. — Every item in this collection was chosen because experienced quilters use it on every project. This isn't a sampler — it's a fully equipped toolkit, curated to work together from cutting table to finished quilt.

      • Installation: Adhere to underside of sewing machine arm; cord organizers and clips keep cables tidy

      Instructions

      1. Install the light strip before your first session. Clean the inside of your machine's arm, cut the strip to fit (scissors only, on marked lines), peel the adhesive backing, and press firmly in place. Route the cord neatly with the included clips and organizers. Plug into any USB adapter and adjust brightness with the dimmer switch.
      2. Mark your patchwork pieces with the QIPS rulers. Place the appropriate ruler (9" for squares up to 6", 17" for larger) diagonally on your fabric square, wrong side up. Draw a line on each side of the ruler with a heat erasable pen. These are your sewing lines for half-square triangles, hourglass units, or flying geese — no measuring needed.
      3. Set your seam allowance at the machine. Place the Seam Guide Ruler under your presser foot, lower the needle into the correct hole, and press the Magnetic Seam Guide against the ruler on the needle plate. Remove the ruler — the magnet stays as your guide. Use the standalone Magnetic Seam Guide as a dedicated second guide if working on multiple machines or seam widths simultaneously.
      4. Clip and clamp fabric layers into position. Use the sewing clips for binding edges, hems, and small pieces — place them at your target seam allowance using the base markings. For larger quilt sandwiches and quilt rolls, secure with the jumbo clamps — squeeze to open, position, and release.
      5. Cut with the ruler grip and fresh blades. Attach the Ruler Grip to your acrylic quilting ruler (clean surfaces first), position the ruler precisely, and rotary cut with confidence — fingers safely above the blade. Swap in a fresh 45mm tungsten blade whenever your current blade starts dragging.
      6. Press on the extra large wool mat. Lay your blocks, sections, or long hems on the 17" × 24" mat. Press with your iron — the dense wool radiates heat from both sides for flat, crisp results fast. Protect your work surface from steam. Store the mat flat in its vinyl pouch.
      7. Erase your marks when the project is complete. Run a hot iron (minimum 180°F/80°C) over any remaining pen marks. They disappear cleanly — no washing, no ghost lines. Store pens tip-down, tightly capped, and replace refills as needed.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Large wool mat

'I absolutely love this! So much I ordered one for a friend who does not have one. Your seams and material press down so flat! My crafts turn out so much better with pressing down so flat! Highly recommend this for any quilters, crafters, and even for pressing clothes!'

Gail, S. - Verified Madam Sew Customer

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Does the job!

'I ordered this mat to go under my serger, which vibrates and moves at higher speeds. It works beautifully to dampen that movement and reduces the noise as well. I turned it 90 degrees to get a better fit under my serger and it works very well. This was a great buy!'

Jane, S. - Verified Madam Sew Customer

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    A touch of class

'I love these pens you can make your creation come to life! I can trace the design if you don’t like it you can redo it. With a touch from your iron the unwanted lines are gone. I haven’t had any problems with the ink staining. I highly doubt this product.'
