Everything you need to know about Madam Sew's Needle and Pin Retriever
VIDEO TUTORIAL
EXTENDING/COLLAPSING
To extend the Needle and Pin Retriever, pull on the head. You can extend up to a maximum of 32 inches in length.
To close it or make the retriever smaller, push the head back in. When fully closed it will only take up 7 ½ inches.
PICKING UP METAL OBJECTS
Once extended to the length you need, touch the magnetic head (larger end of the retrieving tool) to the pins, needles or other small metal objects you are trying to pick up. The strong magnet will grab them for you as long as they are not heavier than 8 lbs and fit the magnetic surface area.
Once picked up, you can carefully remove the objects to store in a safe place.
USING THE LED LIGHT
The top part (head) of the Needle and Pin Retriever controls the light.
To turn the light ON, turn the top part of the head to the right (clockwise).
To turn the light OFF, turn the top part of the head to the left (counterclockwise).
REPLACING BATTERIES OR LED LIGHT
To access the battery or light chamber, completely screw off the top part of the retriever head.
To do this, turn the head to the right (clockwise) to the ON position and then continue turning to the right to remove the head.
Replace batteries with 3 AG13 button cell batteries.
If needed, replace the LED light with a 5mm white light, short foot.
Once replacement is complete, screw the top back on by turning to the left (counterclockwise) to the OFF position until firmly re-attached.
