Everything you need to know about Madam Sew's Measuring Gauge
This little tool is perfect for checking and marking small measurements when you are sewing or quilting. Check seams & seam allowances, hem depths, binding folds, small intervals between pleats, buttonholes, etc.
Every common seam and hem allowance in sewing and quilting is integrated in this little ruler.
USER INSTRUCTIONS
Each square protrusion of this gauge has a different width. Just find the measurement you need and hold that protrusion against your pattern or on your fabric to mark or fold that exact width.
There are 12 sewing measurements in inches, in total: 8 are marked on the gauge: ¼”, ½”, ⅝”, ¾”, 1", 1-⅛”, 1-¼”, 1-⅜” and 4 are non-marked: 3/8", 1-½”, 1-⅝”, 2". You can see the non marked distances in the image below in red.
Use the small hole in the middle to attach it to a key ring, or hang it on a hook in your sewing room.
This gauge is made out of lightweight aluminum.
