How to Use

Sewing Clips

1. Push the clip open wide and place it along the edge of your fabric — just as you would use a sewing pin, but without the prick!

2. Use the seam allowance markings (¼", ⅜", 3/16") on the bottom of each clip to place clips consistently along hems and bindings.

3. Clip binding in place before sewing it down, or hold multiple fabric layers together on laminate, leather, vinyl, or silk where pins would leave holes.

Chalk Marker – White

1. Roll the toothed wheel smoothly over your fabric to create clear chalk lines — works with a ruler for straight lines or freehand for curves.

2. Remove marks by gently rubbing the fabric with your hands, a soft brush, a damp cloth, or rinsing with water.

3. Always test on a scrap or the wrong side of your fabric first to confirm easy removal.

4. Refill by unscrewing the tip and replacing the chalk cartridge when empty.

Heat Erasable Fabric Marker Pens

1. Write or draw your marks on fabric (seams, hems, embroidery lines, dart placements, etc.). If using the white pen, allow a few seconds for the ink to appear.

2. When ready to remove, heat your iron to at least 180°F/80°C and press over the marks. Marks disappear completely with heat.

3. Store pens tip-down, tightly capped. Use within 5 months. Replace cartridge when ink is low.

Binder Pockets

1. Assign one binder pocket per sewing project. Slide it into your 3-ring binder or Madam Sew Carry-All Binder Bag.

2. Fill each pocket with pattern pieces, instructions, fabric swatches, and small notions for that project.

3. Use the colored tabs to label and color-code different projects for quick, at-a-glance identification.

Lighted Seam Ripper

1. Remove the insulating sheet from the battery compartment before first use — slide the ON/OFF switch to ON to activate the LED light.

2. Insert the sharp tip between the thread and fabric from the bobbin side. Slide gently to cut individual stitches or slip the hook under a thread to slice through the seam.

3. Switch the LED OFF when finished to preserve battery life.

How to Use

1. Light Your Space — Peel the adhesive backing off the LED Light Strip and attach it to the underside or front arm of your sewing machine. Plug into the USB adapter, clip the cord with the included organizers, and use the dimmable switch to set your perfect brightness.

2. Set Up Your Machine Station — Place the Muffling Mat (logo up, wavy side down) under your machine. Position the Pedal Mat on the floor where your foot pedal rests — no attachment needed.

3. Set Your Seam Allowance — Lower your needle into the correct hole on the Seam Guide Ruler. Place the Magnetic Seam Guide against the ruler on your machine's metal needle plate, then remove the ruler. The guide holds your seam steady for every stitch.

4. Mark and Press with Confidence — Use your Heat Erasable Fabric Markers to draw cutting lines, quilting designs, or notches on your fabric. Place the Hot Hem Ruler or Wool Pressing Mat on your work surface, fold your fabric to the desired measurement, and press with your iron. Heat from the iron erases all marker lines.

5. Store Your Project — Place your cut pieces, notions, thread, and pattern in the Project Bag. Use the front card slot to label the project. Transfer to the Multi-Pocket Binder Bag for traveling to class or a guild meeting — your tools stay organized in the built-in zip pockets.

6. Store Finished Quilts — Once your quilt is complete, fold it carefully and slide it into the Large Lavender Quilt Storage Bag. Use the transparent front panel to identify contents without opening the bag.

7. Care and Maintenance — Clean both mats with soap and water and air-dry fully. Store Heat Erasable Pens tip-down, capped, and use within 5 months. Spot-clean the Wool Pressing Mat with a diluted white vinegar solution as needed. The Project Bag and Quilt Storage Bag wipe clean with a damp cloth.
