How to store a quilt in this bag

1. Make sure the quilt is completely clean and dry. Anything stored damp could damage the fabric.

2. Fold loosely rather than tightly, and vary where you fold each time you take it out. Permanent creases weaken fibres over the years. You can also roll your quilts. Slide the quilt in without forcing it. The bag should close comfortably; an overstuffed bag presses hard creases into the fabric. Zip it closed. 

3. Store the bag somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight. A closet shelf or under a bed is ideal. Attics and basements might swing too far in temperature and humidity.

4. Take the quilt out and refold it a couple of times a year to let it air and to keep unintentional creases from forming

Caring for your bag

The PU-coated polyester is built to handle years of use, not just one packing-away season. If it needs cleaning, wipe it down with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let it air dry fully before folding it away. Don't machine wash or tumble dry, as heat can affect the coating. For everyday upkeep, a quick wipe-out between uses (especially if it's been storing anything freshly washed) is usually all it needs to stay odor-free and ready for the next quilt.
