I love this tape. When I’m binding a quilt, and I fold the binding over I use it to hold the binding in place. It makes stitching the binding down easier.

Premium Quality - 11k+ 5 stars review

Our Fusible Hem Tape is double sided so you can adhere two fabric layers permanently using only your hot iron. The iron-on hem tape is almost invisible and it works on most fabrics, from light to heavy-weight. No sewing machine needed, just your hot iron!

This fusible hem tape is a great alternative for seams when machine sewing, hand stitches, and quilting. There are so many uses for this tape in textile crafts!

You can use this hemming tape to

  • Quickly fix hems on trousers instead of sewing hems with a sewing machine
  • Hem curtains
  • Apply binding
  • Adhere applique
  • Baste a hem before sewing over it
  • And more!

“Super easy to use, good quality, just place between fabric, iron and you're done, holds the material very well!”

  • Each roll of tape has 50 yards (45.72 meters) of fusible hemming tape
  • We sell this tape in two widths. Choose the size you need:
    • 1 cm/0.39 inch wide hem tape
    • 2 cm/0.79 inch wide hem tape
  • This iron-on hem tape tape looks like transparent mesh
  • With the paper backing on one side, you can apply the tape step by step.

How to apply the hemming tape?

Apply a piece of tape op your fabric with the heat from a household hot iron or a pressing machine. The paper backing on one side of the tape lets you secure the tape in two steps, allowing you to stay in control at all times. You can iron on the tape in the first step, then remove the paper backing, fold the fabric on the other side of the tape and iron on the fabric to adhere the other side. The tape can handle different iron settings, as you never iron directly on the tape. There is always paper or a layer of fabric in between.

NOTE: If you use this tape as basting tape, let the glue cool down before you sew over it. If the glue is still hot, it can leave a sticky residue on your needle.

Detailed user instructions are included in the packaging of the Madam Sew Fusible Hem Tape.
