This cutting shape is not only cute, it also prevents your fabric’s edges from fraying. The threads of woven fabrics will not unravel as easily when cut with pinking shears.

Put your pinking shears in your right hand. Place your thumb in the smallest grip and your other 4 fingers in the larger grip. Grab your fabric, position the shears on the seam edge, for example, and cut slowly.
