Whether you're heading to a guild meeting, a quilting retreat, or simply moving your project from the sewing room to the kitchen table, the Cutting Travel Bundle gives you everything you need to cut and sew with confidence away from home.
The 7.5" Medium Fabric Scissors travel safely in the hard-body Rotary Cutter Case, which holds the scissors alongside spare blades, a seam ripper, or other small tools with no risk of blade exposure. The Madam Sew Red Project Bag carries your fabric, pattern, and notions in two clear-mesh pockets — everything visible, everything together. The 50 multicolour sewing clips replace pins entirely, keeping fabric layers flat and aligned whether you're at a table or on your lap.
This bundle is built for sewists who don't stop when they leave the house.
Why You'll Love It
- Scissors That Travel Safely, Every Time — The hard-body zippered Rotary Cutter Case isn't just for rotary cutters — it fits the 7.5" scissors securely in the larger internal pocket with an elastic band to hold them still. No loose scissors in a bag, no bent tips, no accidental cuts.
- Your Whole Project in One Bag — The Madam Sew Red Project Bag's two clear-mesh pockets hold everything for a single project: fabric in the large 16" × 16" pocket, pattern and tools in the small 10" × 16" pocket. Grab it and go — everything you need is already inside.
- Clip, Don't Pin — Especially Away from Home — The 50 multicolour sewing clips grip binding, hems, and fabric layers securely without the risk of pin pricks or dropped pins on unfamiliar surfaces. Seam allowance markings on the clip base keep placement consistent even without a ruler.
- The Case Also Carries More Than Scissors — The Rotary Cutter Case has two internal pockets with elastic bands — one for the scissors and one for spare items like a seam ripper, spare blades, or a small tool. It fits neatly inside the Project Bag's front pocket for a fully self-contained travel setup.
- A Complete Portable Cutting Setup, Nothing Missing — Safe scissors storage, full project carrier, and 50 clips to hold every layer in place. This bundle covers everything a sewist needs to cut and clip cleanly at a class, retreat, or friend's sewing table.

- Colours: Red, orange, yellow, blue, green, pink, purple (multicolour mix)
- Material: Plastic body with steel spring (contains nickel)
- Features: Raised round teeth for firm grip; flat back and sides to prevent puckering; seam allowance markings on base at ¼", ⅜", and 3/16"
- Use: Clipping binding, hemming, quilting layers; safe on laminate, leather, vinyl, silk, satin — anywhere pins would leave holes
- Pack the Project Bag before you leave. Place your cut fabric pieces, quilt blocks, or project materials in the large back pocket. Slip your pattern, instructions, and the Rotary Cutter Case into the smaller front pocket. Fill out the project card with the project name and any key notes — slot it into the front card holder so you can identify the bag at a glance.
- Store the scissors safely inside the Rotary Cutter Case. Place the 7.5" scissors into the larger internal pocket of the case with blades away from the elastic band opening, and secure with the elastic band. Zip the case closed. Slot the case into the Project Bag's front pocket — it fits neatly alongside pattern pieces and small tools.
- At your destination, set up your workspace. Take the Project Bag off the hook or out of your tote, hang it nearby or lay it flat. Remove the Rotary Cutter Case, unzip, and retrieve your scissors carefully by the handle — never reach in by the blade end.
- Clip your fabric layers instead of pinning. Push a clip open wide and place along the fabric edge at your seam allowance — just as you'd use a pin. Use the base markings (¼", ⅜", 3/16") for consistent clip placement on binding and hems. The clips have flat backs so fabric stays flat and won't pucker.
- Cut accurately with the 7.5" scissors. The lightweight 7.5" size is well-suited to the moderate cutting loads typical at a class or retreat — pattern trimming, seam allowance clipping, binding cuts. Smooth, long strokes wherever the cut runs straight; shorter controlled strokes for curves.
- Pack up cleanly at the end of the session. Return scissors to the case and zip. Remove clips from the project, return to the box. Pack your project materials back into the bag. Everything has a dedicated place — the pack-up takes two minutes.
