Everything you need to know about Madam Sew's Electric Fabric Scissors

Please, read instructions carefully before using this machine!

When using this machine, basic safety precautions should always be followed.

Only use this machine for its intended purpose. This machine is designed for household use, to cut soft and flexible materials such as fabrics, carpets, upholstery, rubber, leather, vinyl, PVC, foil, paper, wallpaper, etc.

These scissors are not a toy. Do not allow children to play with these scissors. Never leave this machine unattended.

Keep your fingers away from the steel cutting blades. The cutting blades can become hot during use.

When not in use, always put the safety cap on the scissor blades.

Keep away from water to avoid electric shocks.

Do not charge at temperatures below 0°C (32°F) and over 40°C (104°F) as this can damage the battery (lithium ion). While charging, the battery may become warm, this is normal and does not indicate a problem.

Insert the 2 enclosed screws with internal hexagonal recesses (5) in the screw holes (6) of the scissor’s head and attach with the enclosed hex key screwdriver (7). This way you know from the start how you can replace the scissor’s head.

Push the big red trigger switch on the handle to start the machine. Grab your material and start cutting. When you let go of the red trigger switch, the scissors will stop cutting.

The battery of your new electric fabric scissors is not fully charged. With a fully charged battery you can continuously cut for 2 to 3 hours.

The scissors come with a USB charging cable (11). A USB power adapter is not included, but any universal USB power adapter (​​5V-1A) can be used to charge the scissors. To charge, just plug the round end of the enclosed USB charging cable - the barrel connector - into the hole at the back of the scissors (9) and the other end - the USB connector - into a regular USB power adapter (like a phone charger).

The red charging light (10) indicates that the battery is being charged. When fully charged the light will go out. Charging the battery from empty to full takes about 3 hours.

When the machine is plugged in it cannot be used.

1. Remove the 2 screws (6) at the side of the scissor’s head with the enclosed hex key screwdriver (7).

2. Pull the red button (4) away from the head and slide the scissor head off, pulling it toward you.

3. Grab the new head and slide it back in place. When it is clicked in place, attach the head securely with the 2 screws (6), using the enclosed hex key screwdriver (7).

These Electric Fabric Scissors have a one year warranty against defects in material and workmanship. This warranty starts from the date of purchase. During this one year period we will repair or replace the electric fabric scissors that are defective. This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from: accident, abuse, misuse, unauthorized modifications or improper maintenance. To obtain warranty service, contact hello@madamsew.com.
