When thread becomes tangled under your sewing machine, under or on top of your fabric, this can lead to what is called a bird nest. Bird nests are often hard to remove, especially when they are situated underneath the fabric and sucked partially into the needle plate.
This toolkit is made to help you free your project.
• a thread hook (8 ½ inch)
• a thread knife (9 ½ inch) with protective cap + a spare blade
• a handy and safe storage box
WARNING: The knife is extremely sharp. Keep out of reach of children.
STEP 1 :
With the thread hook, you can reach above or below your fabric or your embroidery hoop, pull the threads, and create a bit of space between the needle plate and your fabric.
STEP 2 :
With the thread knife, you can then safely cut the tangled threads and free the project from your machine without damaging your project.

WARNING: The blades are extremely sharp. Always hold the back of the blade. Never force the blade. Use pliers to hold the blade securely if it becomes stuck on the handle.
To remove the blade, carefully lift the bottom of the blade until it unlocks from the handle as shown. With one hand you lift the bottom, with the other you pull the blade away from the handle.
Slide the blade off the handle, moving it away from the handle as shown.
To install a new blade, put the handle through the opening of the blade. Align the blade into the groove of the handle and check that the diagonal lines (on the handle) are parallel with the blade. Gently slide the blade toward the handle until it locks in place.
