Madam Sew partenered with The Pachamama Project donating hand made re-useable sanitary napkins from
June 15 - September 15, 2021! Thanks to our wonderful community here at Madam Sew (that's YOU) we were able to donate over 3000 pads in addition to $1000.

What is The Pachamama Project?
The Pachamama Project is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization making and distributing reusable sanitary pads to refugees around the world and growing a network of volunteers around the UK to make them.
The organization is currently at nearly 1,000 volunteers, nearly 20,000 Pacha Pads made and nearly 14,000 pads sent out to over 3,000 refugees since the project launched in August 2020.
What is period poverty?
Period poverty is the lack of availability and access to sanitary products, normally, due to financial constraints. This causes many women to resort to using scraps of tissue or even socks which can lead to infections.
