Materials Needed:

3 coordinating fabrics- light (A), medium (B) and dark (C)

Start by taking your medium fabric (B) and cut a 3 ⅞” x 3 ⅞” square. Then line it up along the diagonal lines on your rotary mat and cut the square into 2 triangles. Set one triangle aside, you’ll only need 1 triangle out of the medium fabric. Repeat this step and cut a triangle out of your light fabric (A).

Now take your light fabric (A) and cut 4 pieces (one of each) measuring 2” x 3 ½”, 2” x 5”, 2” x 6 ½”, and 2 x 8”.

Take your dark fabric (C) and cut 4 pieces (one of each) measuring- 2” x 5”, 2” x 6 ½”, 2” x 8”, and 2” x 9 ½”.

Now that you have all your pieces, it’s time to sew it all together.

Take your light and medium triangles and put them right sides together, matching your raw edges. Sew them together using the ¼” piecing foot with guide. Make sure the medium fabric is on the right hand side of the square you just made. Press the seam towards the medium fabric

Now take the 2” x 3 ½” light fabric piece, and sew it to the right side of the square using a ¼” seam. Press the seam to the right.
