Everything you need to know about Madam Sew's Quarter Inch Seam Tape
WHAT IS QUARTER INCH SEAM TAPE?
MadamSew’s Quarter Inch Seam Craft Tape can be placed on the front plate of your sewing machine and used as a guide for sewing diagonal seams. Save time by not marking your fabric. Simply align the gold center line of the tape with your sewing machine needle/presser foot and stick the tape down - the red lines on either side of the tape are exactly ¼” from the center.
Our craft tape is thin and strong and will stay on your sewing machine until it is removed leaving no residue behind.
HOW TO USE QUARTER INCH SEAM TAPE?
Cut the craft tape to make a straight edge to start with. Place the straight edge of the tape directly on your sewing machine plate using the feed dogs as a guide.
Align the center gold line with your sewing machine’s needle. You can use a ruler to double check the alignment if you’d like.
The golden lines of the seam tape are exactly ¼” from the center red line - this makes it a perfect ¼” seam guide reference! You may see that the markings on your metal plates may be off, but rest assured that the lines of the diagonal seam craft tape are 100% accurate.
REMOVING CRAFT TAPE
MadamSew’s craft tape is designed to be removed without leaving residue behind, but we recommend removing/replacing the tape after every project. If you find any residue left behind you can use a washcloth with dish soap and warm water to remove it.
