About The Challenge
As Madam Sew marks its 7th anniversary, we're not just celebrating—we're making our celebration count. This year, we're shining a light on compassion and generosity with our 2024 Charity Challenge, running from March to August 2024.
It's more than a celebration; it's a movement to bring smiles to the faces of children in need.
We invite our Madam Sew community to create whimsical, bright, and cheery pillowcases for Ryan’s Case for Smiles. Together, let’s channel our collective generosity to make a difference in the lives of children.
We're proud to support Ryan’s Case for Smiles, a dedicated charity bringing comfort to hospitalized children with whimsical pillowcases. Since 2007, they've delivered over 2.7 million pillowcases, transforming children hospital stays with touches of warmth and happiness.
Our goal is to collect 1500 pillowcases, transforming each donation into a beacon of joy for children facing challenges. With every stitch, you're part of a larger story of hope and kindness.
How To Participate
Turn Your Sewing Skills into Smiles
Create a whimsical, bright pillowcase using your sewing skills.
Mail your crafted pillowcase to your local Ryan Case for Smiles chapter.
Spread the word! Share your creation on social media.
What you need to know
Donation Period Madam Sew Challenge: Now until the end of August. After that send your pillowcases directly to Ryan Case For Smiles.
Delivery to Charity: All collected pillowcases will be delivered to Ryan's Case for Smiles in September, aligning with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Madam Sew’s Contribution: For every pillowcase you donate, Madam Sew will donate $1 to Ryan’s Case for Smiles, aiming for a total contribution of $1500.

To ensure the highest quality and comfort for the children receiving them, we kindly request adherence to specific construction guidelines for the pillowcases. These include precise fabric sizing, recommended pre-washing procedures, and guidance on color and pattern selections.
