I like to sew with an open toes foot and the foot is wider than 1/4". Therein lies the problem. When I use the seam guide ruler to get the perfect allowance for the seam, the guide doesn't work. I tried using the magnetic guide before the foot, but it's over the bobbin area and I'm constantly having to replace the guide. It is not ideal. Maybe it would be if I used another foot.

I thought this would be a good tool for teaching, but I am very disappointed with the product. The magnet doesn’t stay in place one you begin sewing. Thank you.
