How to Use the Quilting Foot and 1/4 Quilting Foot with Guide
The beauty of these feet is the large number of marking around the edge of the foot. These are different standard quilting measurements which will make matching your seams a breeze.
The toes of the feet are:
• 1/4” wide on the right toe
• 1/8” wide on the left toe
By using the marking down the sides of the feet you can ensure you stop sewing when you reach a corner at the correct distance for an even finish.
Each marking is 1/8” apart on the left side of the foot and 1/4” apart on the right side of the foot.
The blade of the foot #17 should be run down the edge of the fabric. In the example photo I use the inner or smaller of the two pieces of fabric to use with the guide.
You can also sew a perfect 1/8” top stitch with these feet.
